The Door To Miracles
Making Right Decisions

"What you decide on will be done,
and a light will shine on your ways".
Making right decisions are the ingredients for a successful plan. Decisions activate desires and rouse them into action. "You should never entertain or express and idea," Dale Carnegie cautioned, "Unless you want it to take form in your life." And Job wrote, "You shall also decide and decree a thing and it will be established for you." And Jesus said, "You can have what you say." Whatever you decide and state is your desire will happen, so be careful what you decide and say.
Often it seems that we want God to make our decisions for us. But, that's why God gave us a mind of our own. He will not decide for us. He has given us the power to decide choose which way we want to go. He can lead us to the fountain of living water, but He can't make us drink. God is a gentelman, He has left that choice up to us.
You will receive whatever you have decided upon, also whatever your strongest beliefs continually express. So before you commit yourself to anything, search your heart thoroughly. Every decision generates power for your main objective. The combination of thoughts, words and actions divulge your strongest desires, and they'll be upheld right or wrong. The power is available for a right decision, and you are welcome to use it. You are plugged into it, but if resistance is crimping the line God's power cannot pass through.
Changing Old Habits
Our lives become manageable when we submit to changing our old habits. Once you become willing to change things that are not working for you, a suitable flow of power will unleash ideas and opportunities for you to work with. Then you will receive wisdom and insight so a right decision can be easily reached. Establishing a right decision does not come easy. It takes thought, study and understanding. It takes wisdom, knowledge and maturity. Decisions are a product of strength, courage and determination. Without making right decisions, every opportunity is at risk.
How Do I Establish A Right Decision?
Often I hear people say "I hate making decisions. I always make the wrong ones." A decision is simply the technique of weighing the consequences of a possible course of action, then calculating the dangers involved. It's reaching practical measures involving minimum-maximum risk factors and choosing maximum probabilities of success. Its a body of concepts dealing with making right choices and evaluating the issues. Once the dominating factors are judged between good and bad, you can arrive at a decision. Making a decision that profits the well being of everyone concerned, you are sure to succeed. On the other hand, if you gamble and take unwise chances, the odds will be against you. Once your final decision is established and focused in the wheels are set in motion, and faith is the key that starts the wheels rolling.
There is dynamic power in decisions! Whatever you decide will go directly to heaven or to hell. If you decide to take thoughtless chances, that decision will come with a cost and the consequences can be sever. Right decisions are absolutely necessary for a right outcome. They carry less weight, doubt, frustration, anxiety and failure. They contain more power, energy, peace and satisfaction. A right decision will have Godspeed, where success can come speedily.
What If I Make The Wrong Decision?
Not to fret. God knows your heart...if your heart is right He can take a wrong decision and make it right, but only if you are willing to accept correction. God will show you why your decision was wrong and offer new choices and opportunities to work with. He will cause supernatural powers to incarnate so a right decision can be made. In order to save yourself a lifetime of struggle, strive diligently to make the right decision at the initial step of the developmental process.
Exercise 1.
Before you list your desires, carefully study the instructions below. Take your time or you'll have the opportunity to begin again, and most probably at the cost of a sever temporary loss.
Instructions:
Select several options. If you desire a relationship, weigh the factors. Write down the good and bad points of bringing someone new into your life. List the advantages of being single and the advantages of marriage. If your desire is a new home, carefully examine your financial situation, the reason you need it, and your future profit. List the reasons why you desire a new job, car, addition to your home, or to quit drinking, smoking etc., then list the arguments against it. List the pro's and con's.
Example:
The advantages of single life:
A. Freedom and independence.
B. A relationship would interfere with my job or goal at this time in my life.
Disadvantages of single life:
A. Unable to share a life of love and joy.
B. The inability to share my life completely with another.
Advantages of not moving:
A. Friends, family, location and schools.
B. Security, heritage and comfort.
Advantages of moving:
A. A fresh new start.
B. Business and financial benefits.
Now, list your desires and their advantages:
List their disadvantages, the arguments where there is a reasonable doubt, and the matter of consequences:
We make decisions by forming, combining and altering specific needs, then drawing a conclusion. For every decision, weigh the options before settling. What side outweighs the other, the favorable possibilities or the arguments and doubts. Place the benefits in one hand and the arguments and doubts in the other. Which hand is the heaviest? To save yourself a life time of trouble, the heaviest hand you shall fold.
Exercise 2.
1. For one week whatever you say you are going to do, do it without delay.
2. Take something you have been undecided about and settle it today.
3. For the next week, whatever you start, finish to the end.
4. Make a decision to love yourself, then establish it as true.
NOTE:
The biggest decision you can make is to accept Jesus and the cross. When that has been accomplished, sickness, poverty, and disease will no longer have a hold on you - - you'll have come into a new life in Christ.
