Promises Of God

If you are a Christian, here are some of God's
promises that you can claim as your own


God has given us his very great and precious promises, so that
through them you may participate in the divine nature, having
escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
2 Peter 1:34



Ephesians 3:20-21 - Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Isaiah 54:17 - No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Deuteronomy 28:1 - “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.”
:13 “And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them and to do them.

Joshuah 1:9 - “Have not I commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Psalm 138:7 - Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.

Isaiah 41:10 - Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness

Psalm 60:12 - Through God we shall do valiantly: for it is He that shall tread down our enemies.

Mark 16:17,18 - And these signs shall follow them that believe; in My Name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Luke 10:19 - Behold, I give to you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Isaiah 40:31 - But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

James 4:7 - Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Deuteronomy 28:7 - The Lord shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.

1Corinthinas 15:57 - But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory, (over the enemy), through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Exodus 23:25 - So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He shall bless your bread and your water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren, in your land: I will fulfill the number of your days.

Psalm 103:2,3,4,5 - Bless the Lord, 0 my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies; Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Proverbs 4:20,21,22 - My son, attend to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart, for they are life to those who find them, and health (medicine) to all their flesh.

Jeremiah 30:17 - For I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds.

James 5:15,16 - And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise Him up. And if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Genesis 15:1 - Fear not, Abram: I am your shield, and your exceeding great reward.

1Chronicles 28:20 - Be strong and of good courage and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will be with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you.

Isaiah 43:1-3 - Fear not: for 1 have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel.

1 Chronicles 17:8-10 - I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name like the names of the greatest men on earth.
9 And I will provide a place for my people Israel and will plant them so that they can have a home of their own and no longer be disturbed. Wicked people will not oppress them anymore, as they did at the beginning
10 and have done ever since the time I appointed leaders over my people Israel. I will also subdue all your enemies.“‘I declare to you that the Lord will build a house for you':

Psalm 18:3 - I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.
17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me; for they were too strong for me.

Psalm 56:9 Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help. By this I will know that God is for me..

Isaiah 59:19 - When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

Psalms 145:18-20 - The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. {19} He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. {20} The LORD preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 - For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Psalm 91:10-11 - No evil will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

Psalm 147:3 - He heals the Brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Isaiah 61:1-3,7 - The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion, to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs.

John 10:10 - The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

Hebrews 4:16 - Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Philippians 4:6-7 - Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 19:26 - Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Proverbs 21:30 - There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.

Matthew 16:16-18 - Simon Peter answered and said, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’ Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

Proverbs 21:1 - The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.

Proverbs 16:9 - In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.

Proverbs 20:24 - A man’s steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?

Galatians 5:6 - For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

Philippians 2:12-13 - Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed’”not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence’”continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

John 8:31-32 - To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, ‘If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’

Psalm 119:105 - Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

Psalm 119:114 - You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.

Hebrews 11:1 - Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 10:38 - But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him.’

Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Matthew 21:22 - ‘And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.’

2 Corinthians 5:7 - For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Matthew 9:29-30 - Then he touched their eyes and said, ‘According to your faith will it be done to you’; and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, ‘See that no one knows about this.’

Hebrews 6:12 - We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

2 Corinthians 10:2-5 - I beg you that when I come I may not have to be as bold as I expect to be toward some people who think that we live by the standards of this world. For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

John 1:14 - The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Isaiah 41:10-13 - ‘Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Behold, all those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced; They shall be as nothing, And those who strive with you shall perish. You shall seek them and not find them–Those who contended with you. Those who war against you Shall be as nothing, As a nonexistent thing. For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’

Hebrews 10:35-36 - So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

1 John 3:22 - And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Luke 1:37 - Nothing is impossible with God.’

Galatians 5:22-23 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Hosea 2:15 - I will return her vineyards to her and transform the Valley of Trouble into a gateway of hope.

Romans 8:27-28 - He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

Psalm 46:10 - ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’

Proverbs 16:1 - To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue.

Isaiah 55:10-11 - As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Mark 9:23 - Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."

Jeremiah 33:11 - The sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those who bring thank- offerings to the house of the LORD, saying, Give thanks to the LORD Almighty, for the LORD is good; his love endures for ever. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before,' says the LORD."

2 Chronicles 7:14 - If we, your people, will humble ourselves, and pray, and seek your face, and turn from our wicked way; then will you hear from heaven, and will forgive our sin, and will heal our land.

John 14:13-14 - Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Psalm 91: 14 - Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness--trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

Deuteronomy 7: 9 - Know, recognize, and understand therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, Who keeps covenant and steadfast love and mercy with those who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations.

Psalms 91:14-16 - "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation."

John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

2 Timothy 1:7 - For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.

1 John 4:4 - Greater is He who is in me, than he who is in the world.

Isaiah 43:25 - I, even I, am He that blots out your transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember your sins no more.

Ephesians 1:7 - In Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

Deuteronmy 33:27 - The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and He shall thrust out the enemy from before you; and shall say, “Destroy them.”

Psalm 5:12 - For You, Lord, will bless the righteous; with favour will you compass him as with a shield.

Proverbs 16:7 - When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

John 10:10b - I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Romans 8:32 - He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

1 Corinthians 1:5 - That in everything you are enriched by Him, in all utterance and in all knowledge.

1 Corinthians 1:30 - But of God are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made to us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.

2 Corinthians 9:8 - And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

2 Corinthians 12:9 - My grace is sufficient for you: for My strength is made perfect in weakness.

Psalm 18:32 - It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect.

Psalm 32:8 - I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

Psalm 121:8 - The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.

Proverbs 3:6 - In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Isaiah 48:17 - Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.

Luke 11:9-13 - “And I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If You then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

John 8:12 - Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

John 14:6 - Jesus said to him. “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No-one comes to the Father except through Me.”

John 14:26 - “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

John 16:13 - “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on his own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”

Colossians 1:9,10 - For this reason we also, since the day we heard it do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may have a walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

Psalm 18:2,3 - The Lord is my rock, and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in Whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from my enemies

Psalm 23:4 - Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for You are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.

Psalm 46:1,2 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the middle of the sea.

Psalm 91:1,2 - He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God in Him will I trust.
10,11,12 There shall no evil befall you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For He shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.

Proverbs 18:10 - The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous run into it, and are safe.

John 10:28,29 - And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father, which gave them to Me, is greater then all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand.

Philippians 1:6 - Being confident of this very thing, that He which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 - But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

Hebrews 13:5b,6 - God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”.

Isaiah 12:2,3 - Behold God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; He also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall you draw water out of the wells of salvation. 5,6 Sing to the Lord; for He has done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, you inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of you.

Isaiah 55:12 - For you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Isaiah 61:10 - I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks Himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with jewels.

Matthew 5:11,12 - Blessed are you, when men shall revile you.....Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven.

John 15:11 - These things have I spoken to you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Psalm 34:4 - I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.
17 The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.

Psalm 50:15 - And call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.

Psalm 86:7 - In the day of my trouble I will call upon You: for You will answer me.

Psalm 118:5 - I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.

Matthew 18:19 - Again I say to you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in heaven.

Romans 10:13 - For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.

1John 5:14,15 - And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He hears us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of him.

Psalm 1:1,2,3 - Blessed is the man........ his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law, he meditates day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.

Proverbs 15:6 - In the house of the righteous is much treasure.

Isaiah 1:19 - If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land. The petitions that we desire of Him.

Matthew 6:33 - Seek you first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.

Luke 6:38 - Give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give to you. For with the same measure that you measure, it shall be measured to you again.

Galatians 3:14 - That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Philippians 4:19 - But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

3 John 2 - Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.

Psalm 18:32 - It is God that girds me with strength, and makes my way perfect.

Psalm 30:7 - Lord, by your favour you have made my mountain to stand strong.

Psalm 46:1 - God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble.

Psalm 68:28 - Your God has commanded your strength: strengthen, 0 God, that which you have wrought for us.
35 The God of Israel is He that gives strength and power to His people.

Isaiah 30:15 - In returning and rest shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.

Isaiah 40:29 - He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increases strength.
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 41:10 - Fear not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.

Haggai 2:4b - Be strong, all you people of the land, and work: for I am with you, says the Lord of Hosts.

Zechariah 4:6 - Not by might, or by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts.

Romans 4:20 - He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.

2 Corinthians 10:3,4,5 - For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Ephesians 3:16 - That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man.

Ephesians 6:10 - Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.

Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Colossians 1:11 - Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness.

Hebrews 11:33,34 - Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight.

1 Peter 5:10 - And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

Isaiah 42:6,7,8,9 - I the Lord have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am the Lord: that is My name: and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images. Behold the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

John 7:37-38 - Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.

John 15:16 - You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain.

Proverbs 3:26 - The Lord will be your (strong) confidence and will not allow your foot to be caught.
